Why Hire an Interior Designer?
#1- It will save money
Hiring an Interior Designer can help you avoid costly mistakes like buying items that don’t fit or perform well, using the wrong color palette, and avoid having spaces that don’t meet code that are poorly designed and simply do not work. The best time to bring in an Interior Designer to help prevent these costly mistakes- the very moment you start thinking about your project.
Experienced Designers know how to create a look in a range of prices. Knowing when to pull back on items and when to highlight them and this is something you can rely on a designer to do.
#2- You are going to save time
Designers have a trained sense of what needs to be done and when- they create a roadmap for the homeowner to ensure all materials and trades are showing up and being completed at the right time. There are many moving parts to a project that homeowners cannot always anticipate. An Interior Designer will anticipate how your space needs to come together and provide detailed drawings to avoid construction issues.
#3 Good Design does not happen by chance
Professional Interior Designers have a Degree in Interior Design, many years experience in the field and are licensed by the state and accreditation board. Interior Design is a delicate balance of art and science- good interior designers have studied both and have a trained eye to bring a visual attraction to the space while providing functionality.
Interior Designers also know how to make, or find your vision and take it beyond your imagination. There is a reason why television reveals are so inspiring!
#4 Professional Assessment
An Interior Designer will assess your space and budget while creating a plan of action for your project. They will help determine what can stay..or go and find those inspiring pieces. They will guide you through the process from start to end.
#5 You are going to have better resources and contacts
Designers also have access to trade professionals, vendors and contractors which can save you time vetting sources and materials. You will access to trade only materials which create a more specialized interior- not a big box fits all solution. And their relationships with the trades and contractors can ensure quality control.
